Building community and trust in journalism are some of the biggest challenges our industry must overcome in today\u2019s climate. At ONA17, you\u2019ll hear about how you can improve the ways you engage with audiences as well as how you measure those interactions. <\/p>\n

In this workshop, engagement extraordinaires from Hearken, KPCC and BuzzFeed will help you build your plan through several exercises. You\u2019ll leave knowing how to reach your goal, and with a peer partner to help you get there.<\/li>\n Making Instagram work in a journalism context remains a bit of a mystery for some outlets. How can we use it to reach audiences, and what value is there anyway? The Globe and Mail Strategist Shannon Busta<\/strong> will answer these questions with examples of how she\u2019s incorporated The Globe\u2019s editorial schedule into their Instagram strategy to achieve meaningful engagement with new audiences.<\/li>\n Consistently considered one of our most popular events, our Table Talks are designed to get into the meat of a topic, so you can talk about the nitty-gritty of what you\u2019ve been working on with top minds in the field.
