Sara Konrad is editor of the Iowa Falls Times Citizen. After earning degrees from two Iowa universities, she had every intention of leaving the state to seek fame in the big city. That was, until she took a chance on the twice-weekly Times Citizen and was bowled over by the company\u2019s progressiveness. In her position, she\u2019s led the newsroom through a convergence of newspaper and radio news; overseen redesigns of the print product; launched two digital newsletters; and overhauled the website twice, boosting traffic by more than 250 percent since 2014. In her 10 years editing the Times Citizen, Baranowski has developed a passion for quality rural community journalism and the impact it can have on a community. Under her leadership, the Times Citizen has received more than 120 state and national awards. In 2014, she was named to Editor & Publisher\u2019 25 Under 35 list.
