Emily is the national data projects editor for GateHouse Media, where she oversees large data-driven projects for publications throughout the company. Prior to that, she was the deputy investigations editor for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, where she and her colleagues produced the nationally award winning \u201cBias on the bench\u201d series uncovering racial disparity in criminal sentencing in Florida. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Emily started her journalism career in Mississippi and covered everything from local issues to state politics. She also was a stringer for Reuters.
