Mindy McAdams
Mindy is a professor at the University of Florida, where she teaches about digital journalism, code, news apps and social media. She holds the Knight Chair in Journalism Technologies and the Democratic Process. She has trained hundreds of journalists in digital skills and strategy in 19 countries, including Argentina, the Czech Republic, Laos, Russia, Singapore, South Africa and Vietnam. Her book Flash Journalism: How to Create Multimedia News Packages was published by Elsevier/Focal Press in 2005. She worked at The Washington Post and Time magazine 1988–1995. As the recipient of two Fulbright Scholar grants, she taught online journalism in Indonesia (2011–12) and in Malaysia (2004–2005), where she also researched press freedom.
